The internationally acclaimed ape rescue centre, is set within 65 acres of wonderful woodland, and home to over 230 primates of 15 different species. Monkey World is the largest ape and monkey rescue centre in the World and is now a sanctuary for monkeys and apes from all over the world.

Monkey World assists governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild. At the Centre refugees of this illegal trade as well as those that have suffered abuse or neglect are rehabilitated into natural living groups.

Monkey World is open every day, all year (except Christmas Day), from 10am to 5pm.
During July and August, opening times extend from 10am to 6pm with the last admission being 1 hour before closing.

Visit Hawk Conservancy Trust with Linden Vehicle Hire

The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity and award winning visitor centre that has for many years worked in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and the research of birds of prey.

The Hawk Conservancy Trust is set in 22 acres of woodland and wild flower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the Steller’s Sea Eagles. Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects.

The Trust is also home to the only public Great Bustard aviary in the United Kingdom, where you can take a rare opportunity to see the world’s heaviest flying bird up close!

The Hawk Conservancy Trust say allow at least half a day for your visit as there is so much to see and do!

Visit Dover Castle with Linden Vehicle Hire

Dover Castle known as ‘The Key to England’ has over 2000 Years of History, from an Iron Age fort, Roman lighthouse and Saxon church to the Castle that is seen today with the massive Great Tower built by Henry II.

Dover Castle is one of the greatest and most famous of European fortresses, its position as a frontier defence ensuring it an important place in British history. Dover Castle strategically sited, guarding the nearest landing point to mainland Europe, made it an emphatic statement of medieval royal power, highly visible across the Straits of Dover.

To tour the castle the English Heritage have a Landtrain which runs regularly around the Castle to take you to the bits you want to see without you having to walk.

The Dover Castle is closed on 24-26 December and 1 January.
